Trichloromethane has a strong corrosive effect on acrylic, which is why it can adhere to acrylic. Once chloroform is attached to acrylic, chloroform will immediately corrode the acrylic. Trichloromethane itself has disappeared, and the surface is a corrosive layer. Therefore, there is no such problem as clear chloroform. It is only possible to carry out a certain planing treatment on the corroded surface, and the polished acrylic surface may be exposed by planing the corroded layer.
The degree of corrosion is light: the surface of the sheet is not soft when touched by hand, and it feels a bit rough when you touch it. At this time, you have 2 methods to deal with:
1.Use a flame polisher directly to burn the flame with a blue flame, which can alleviate this problem.
2.Use 800 or 1000 fine sand to grind it slowly with water a few times, then dry the water with toilet paper, and then use the cloth wheel to polish the polishing paste and go back and forth twice.
The degree of corrosion is heavy; it feels a little soft with the fingernails, and the material is also hairy. At this time, please use a hacksaw blade or a paper cutting blade, scrape off the rotten area with a blade, and then slowly grind with 800 or 1000 fine sandpaper until it is smooth. Then use a cloth wheel to polish the polishing paste until the surface of the material is bright.
Even if the above method is used for polishing and polishing, a small pit will appear in the material. In order to make the local pit phenomenon not so obvious, you can scrape away the large area around the rot. It is then polished. This processing method is only suitable for acrylic materials with a thickness of 6MM or more.
